Coach Earl Downing is a seasoned track and field coach with over 50 years of experience in the sport. His journey began as a successful sprinter at Yale University, where he competed at the NCAA Division I National level. LinkedIn

Currently, Coach Downing leads SpeedBuild USA, an organization dedicated to enhancing athletic performance by focusing on three key areas: Speed & Strength, Speed & Endurance, and Competition & Recovery. His training programs cater to athletes across various sports, including lacrosse, football, soccer, gymnastics, and basketball, emphasizing the universal importance of speed. SpeedBuild USA

Coach Maddie - Media Manager and Assistant Coach

Coach Maddie (Marin Catholic ’22) ran sprints, relays, and hurdles in high school and now attends UC Berkeley. Maddie manages the SpeedBuild USA instagram page and helps coach during the summer!

Coach Baden (Redwood ’23) ran sprints and relays in high school and now runs at Cal Poly SLO! Baden also helps coach during the summer!
